During the last few months I have been working from time to time as freelance panoramic photographer for BLICK. BLICK is Switzerland's biggest paid newspaper and belongs to the Ringier media group. Yesterday, I shot for an article a time exposure at the foot of the Matterhorn.
A typical ascent of the Matterhorn over the Hörnli ridge starts at 4:30am at night after a very short breakfast. That day there were about 80 climbers to climb the Hörnli ridge. The trails of their headlamps can be seen in the image. The ascent to the summit takes about 4-5 hours, and about 3-4 hours for the descent.

BLICK is one of the most advanced media groups world-wide regarding the usage of 360 degree VR panoramas for news coverage. Panoramic images are fully integrated in their CMS that distributes the panoramas to their website and iPhone App.

Additionally to that, occasionally some of the panoramas are shown in their printed editions (here in their other evening paper "Blick am Abend") with a special webcode for the online article.
